Episode 412 – The Front Back

Leslie is knitting on Pavement by Veera Valimaki out of 2 Guys Yarn in Tweedy Toes. She swatched for Bonny out of Brooklyn Tweed Plains in Treehouse and Uma  (#35 in my queue, since Aug 2012!) in Harrisville Nightshades in 12:57 colorway.

Laura started a pair of toe up socks out of Fishknits in the Witch’s Brew colorway on size 0s.  She’s also working on Mini Sock Arms out of Leading Men Fiber Arts in the Prom Queen colorway and Desert Vista Dyeworks in Raining Rainbow Sprinkles set.

Leslie finished Making Clouds out of Fiberoptic Kashmir in Blue Raspberry (gradient) and Morticia.  It still needs to be blocked.

Laura did not finish anything this week.

Laura is spinning Three Waters’ Farm in the Mary Poppies colorway on Polwarth on the Lendrum upright.

Leslie is still spinning some moonrover fiber and has two of the three bobbins done.

Leslie is listening to Muse of Nightmares, the sequel to Strange the Dreamer. She is listening to the Mystic Bayou series by Molly Harper and reading the Blood Destiny series by Helen Harper.

Laura read the new Thea Harrison Lionheart from the Moonshadow series.

Episode 411 – Phone A Friend

Leslie is knitting on Pavement by Veera Valimaki out of 2 Guys Yarn in Tweedy Toes. She is also working on Making Clouds.  She cast on the Havana CAL

Laura started a pair of toe up socks out of Fishknits in the Witch’s Brew colorway on size 0s.  She’s also working on Mini Sock Arms out of Leading Men Fiber Arts in the Prom Queen colorway and Desert Vista Dyeworks in Raining Rainbow Sprinkles set.

Laura finished a pair of toe up socks with afterthought heels out of Nomadic Yarns Bellatrix.  She also knit a hat out of KSF gemstones handspun. She also knit 2 ornament hats out of Hunter Hammerson’s new collection.

Leslie is still spinning some moonrover fiber but doesn’t have a progress update.

Episode 410 – Dickies of the Scarf World

 

Leslie is knitting on Pavement by Veera Valimaki out of 2 Guys Yarn in Tweedy Toes. She is also working on Making Clouds.  She swatched for the Havana CAL and cast on a simple dishcloth just to gain back some crochet experience.

Laura knit on a pair of toe up socks with afterthought heels out of Nomadic Yarns Bellatrix.  She’s also working on Mini Sock Arms out of Leading Men Fiber Arts in the Prom Queen colorway.

Laura finished Squeezebox out of 270 yards of handspun out of Knit Spin Farm.  She did the child’s large size since she is knit it on size 5 needles.

Laura finished spinning a braid of Hipstrings in the Candy Mountain colorway.  She divided it in half and is spinning end to end. It’s so interesting how it is spinning up.

Leslie is spinning some moonrover fiber.

Leslie is re-listening to Strange the Dreamer since the sequel, Muse of Nightmares was just released. She also re-listened to By Fairy Means or Foul after Laura mentioned it earlier in the week. She read a weird medical sci fi called Parasite by Mira Grant (who is also Seanan McGuire?) and is listening to Dim Sum Asylum by Rhys Ford who has written several books/series I’ve liked.

Laura is listening to The Unicorn Rescue Society by Adam Gidwitz (His Inquistitor’s Tale is an awesome read for upper middle grade readers) and is reading Storm Runner in the Rick Riordan presents publishing.

Episode 409 – Not Too Deep A Dip

Leslie is knitting on Pavement by Veera Valimaki out of 2 Guys Yarn in Tweedy Toes. She is also working on Making Clouds.

Laura knit on a pair of toe up socks with afterthought heels out of Nomadic Yarns Bellatrix.  She’s also working on Mini Sock Arms out of Leading Men Fiber Arts in the Prom Queen colorway.  She also cast on Squeezebox out of 280 yards of handspun out of Knit Spin Farm.  She did the child’s large size since she is knitting it on size 5 needles.

Laura finished spinning some SW Merino in a tonal orange from Knitterly Things.  It will is a 3 ply. She is also plied a 2 ply out of Spotted Circus. It is a merino/Firestar blend in the Moonshine colorway.  She started spinning a braid of Hipstrings in the Candy Mountain colorway. She divided it in half and is spinning end to end. It’s so interesting how it is spinning up.
