Episode 52 – Awesome

Today we share our matching WIPs, some FO’s and a review of Three Ewes Twisted in Fiber. We review Interweave’s Spring 2011 Sockupied, and show off some more great prizes for the 1 year anniversary!

Laura is knitting on the Mitered Crosses Blanket out of Noro Silk Garden. She’s still plugging away on the Shetland Pi shawl by Wendy Johnson.  It is out of Blackberry Ridge Silk Blend Laceweight (I love it a little more every day, which is awesome cause there is a little more to love every day).  I’ve also restarted the Numma Numma socks.

Leslie is working on the Numma Numma socks (we’re going to be twins!)

Laura has finished Twisted Fiber Arts in the Ravelry colorway socks and the Stuck Like Glue prototype.

Laura and Leslie review the totally awesome (see what I did there?) Three Ewes Twisted in Fiber.  You can find their Ravelry group here, or their etsy shop (the theme yarns are on sale there), or their Artfire shop. Lovely yarn, for serious. Laura did a plain sock using a 50 stitch count and after-thought heel.  Leslie used the Arch-shaped sock pattern.

Leslie is spinning some lovely fiber from Woolgatherings Etsy Shop. Laura has no spinning this week.

We review Sockupied Spring 2011 (Note: the link goes to the Windows version, Mac can be found here)

Lots of prizes for the givaway (we clarify rules as well): 12 patterns from Pattisan, lots of lovely yarn from Dyeabolical, Stripy yarn from Fibernymph, Stitchmarkers from Jelby, Fiber from the Elusive Thread, 3 patterns from Sarah Montie, Margain shawl pattern from Stephanie Bold, Sharon sent another lovely bag.

We’ll be at Stitches and daypassing Camp KIP

let me know if I should finish or frog my mitts in the ravlery group

We give helpful Wollmeise stalking tips.

About Leslie

Leslie is obsessed with knitting, and when possible, perfection in her knitting. All stripey socks must match exactly and all lace must be blocked severely. She has major love for all of her viewers/readers and hopes to keep blogging and podcasting for years to come.
