Question from hishandmaid,” Hi ladies, I have had a question on my mind for several weeks, so I’m glad I finally got over here to ask.

With the sweaters you have been knitting lately I have some questions since I’m endeavoring to increase my own sweater knitting. Leslie, I know you are knitting a bulky weight sweater and I recently finished a worsted weight sweater with a looser gauge than I am usually comfortable with, I think it was maybe five stitches to the inch. Laura, your “Every Last Yard”, which I have had my eye on also, was at a pretty loose gauge. My question is does gauge determine the wear of the sweater? For example will a sweater knit with a looser gauge not last as long or will it pill more or does it just depend on the yarn? I usually stay away from worsted weight and heavier sweaters because I thought the gauge would not wear as well. I really enjoyed this latest worsted weight sweater that I knit. I’m sorry this is so wordy, thanks for reading!

❤️ y’all”
