Leslie is knitting a pair of Spring Showers out of Skein Yarn in the Fig colorway as a barter for long arm quilting one of her quilts. She’s finished the first one and begun the second one.
Leslie has not spun, but has been processing a Romney fleece from RB 2014. She has worked through about ⅓ of the carding.
Laura has been spinning cormo singles to 3-ply. Next on the wheel is a Woolpierogi batt for thefatsquirrel gratitude kal.
Sewing – Leslie put binding on the value quilt. She also received back her long-arm barter quilt from Miss Marker’s Quilts (fabulous!) and now has to square up the edges and attach binding. She also sewed five diaper covers from danamadeit.com as part of a baby shower gift..
Question from kizmet, “How do you spin batts? Particularly ITTW as? I’ve been holding a Captain Tightpants batt but don’t know how to begin. I don’t want a gradient, must rather some barber-piled goodness. Thanks much virtual-girrllfriends.
