Question from Indigo13, “When you buy a hank of wool, is it a good idea to wind it into a cake right away, or a while before you actually use it? I like to cake it as soon as I can because then it’s ready to go when it tells me what it wants to be. However, I notice that when I watch podcasts, like yours :), no one seems to do this. I’ve also heard that it can stretch the yarn. Should I or shouldn’t I?
Hope you can answer this question that’s been nagging at me 🙂 I recently did some stash enhancing and my winder is calling me….”
