Leslie knit a Mitered Crosses square for her handspun blanket and cast on for a new pair of double gusset socks in CrazyDog Yarns Step All Over Me colorway.

 

Laura  is knitting a pair of toe-up socks out of Desert Vista Dyeworks in the Zombody it’s cold outside.  She has added a garter stitch heel from the book, “Cool Socks, Warm Feet” by Lucy Neatby.  She has also worked on Love of Spiders by Melanie Berg.

 

Leslie has finished a pair of plain socks out of a Gale’s Art Sock Blank.

 

Laura has finished 1 newborn sized baby hats out of handspun leftovers.  She has also finished a pair of Baby Steps Booties by Lisa Chemery.

Laura has been spinning some Wool Pierogi rolags for Eloise. She has also finished some SOuthern Cross Fibre.  It is South African Superfine wool top in the Hanging Around colorway.  It is 172 yards.  She has also chain plyed a batt she made at Yarn School (45 yards). She started spinning ITW in the Il Tramento in the Falkland base.

Question from Chevyrell,

Do you have any tips or tricks regarding the fit of color work socks? I knit these squirrel socks a few years ago and have always had trouble getting the color work at the top of the cuff over my heel. I’m scared that if i make them loose, they will look sloppy.
