Question from astroknot. “Hello Laura and Leslie–lotsa questions for you today
1) Laura, do you know if there’s a way to search patterns or projects for body types? My body type is close to yours and it seems like it’d be a useful way to go digging for things.
2) for the both of you: I have a wheel but I’m still a n00b, as it were. Could you please help me understand ratios? Specifically, I have a hard time telling when I should use the big end of a bobbin or the little end, and the big whorl or little whorl, and in what combination I should be aiming for if my yarn is slippery, or sticky, or I want to do long draw, or etc.
3) So, I got a cool academic job (yay! now all I have to do is graduate!) in Puerto Rico. Do either of you have advice or resources about shipping spinning wheels? do I disassemble my darling Ladybug? is it gonna cost me $300? would I be better off taking it as a checked item on the plane? Halp!”
