Laura is knitting on Golden Sand by Joji. This is part of the Sight is Life ebook. She is knitting it on size 5 needles using vintage stash. This is Numma Numma on the half shell.
Laura has finished a pair of socks out of Desert Vista Dyeworks in the Zombody Loves the Knitgirllls colorway. She also finished a baby hat (no pattern) out of Neely’s Knits and Madelintosh. She also finished a pair of socks in Nomadic Yarns.
Laura spun superwash Targhee in the “fluff” colorway from Hello Yarn. It is a 3 ply (228 yards) She also spun and Into the whirled batt and plyed it with a purple batt for a 2-ply (710 yards). She chain plyed the leftovers of the ITW batt (72 yards). Then she spun and chain plyed a Loop bump (386 yards). Finally, she spun and 2-plyed Polwarth top from SCF in the Galah colorway. It is 350 yards of a 2-ply.
Question from wwallet, “The young lady that does my hair was recently diagnosed with cervical cancer. She is close to our family (cuts all of our hair) and is a patient of my husband’s. I have two skeins (but I am not opposed to using just one for this and saving the other for something else) of Madelintosh MCN in the Whiskers color way and would like to make her a special shawl. I am always knitting in the chair when she’s doing my hair and she always says, “What are you knitting today?” I think this would be special to her during her treatment. Can you suggest something that wouldn’t be lacy but would be cozy and say “you’ve got this”???”

Leslie is listening to Mistborn and reading the Fortune’s Rising by Sara King. Kobe is listening to the Timebound series by Rysa Walker and reading the third in the Lockwood & Co series, and has started the Mercedes Lackey Arrows Trilogy.
Laura has read Eidolon by Grace Draven (she also reread Radiance the first in the series) . She has also read some Katie McAlister dragon novels. She finished listening to Burn for Me by Ilona Andrews and has begun The Unleashing by Shelly Laurenston. She is about to begin reading some YA books including: The Trials of Apollo, The Borden Murders, and the Chess Queen Enigma.
