Episode 359 – Backseat of a Cop Car

Leslie is knitting on a So Faded, but it will be striped.

Laura is knitting a pair of toe up socks (heel to be determined) out of Desert Vista Dyeworks in the Disneyland colorway.  She also started a pair of Saki Slippers by Nell Knits out of handspun.  This was a braid of Knitspinfarm top in corriedale that I spun with the help of the nieces during TDF this year.  Next on the needles is another pair of slippers out of some Into the Whirled handspun.

Leslie finished Birch Sap out of WIPyarns in the Castle Stone Colorway.

Laura finished her July DVD socks in Lightning Struck Heart colorway.

Laura has spun using a marled draft she learned in her Jillian Merino kaleidoscope spinning class.  She used bits and bobs from Two if by Hand (88 yards).  She also finished a braid of Hello Yarn on Polwarth in the Such Foderol.  It is 320 yards of a fractal spun 2-ply.  She also spun a 2oz batt from classy squid from her Icelandic Dreams series.  It is 120 yards of a thread plied structure.

Leslie is reading Love & Sacrifice, both by Tove Foss Ford, and Werewolves of Chernobyl (pass).  She started Reign of Madness (book two in the King’s Dark Tidings).

Laura is reading Ride the Storm by Karen Chance.  She is starting Solo by Kwame Alexander.

About Leslie

Leslie is obsessed with knitting, and when possible, perfection in her knitting. All stripey socks must match exactly and all lace must be blocked severely. She has major love for all of her viewers/readers and hopes to keep blogging and podcasting for years to come.
