Episode 500 – “I Don’t Like Knitting”

Please note, these shownotes do contain links to Ravelry pattern pages.

Leslie has been crocheting squares for a Cherry Heart/Sandra Paul pattern called Giant Granny Patches.  She cut fabric for the York Pinafore.

Laura has been knitting on  a pair of Socks on a Plane using Long Dog Yarn.  These socks are magic looped on size 0s. She also picked back up some toe up socks out of Knit Spin Farm Little Known Holiday Club “Tolkien.”  These are being knit on size 1 needles.

Projects she is thinking about picking back up are a cowl out of Sealy MacWheely mini skeins and Ursa Minor

Leslie finished Shadow Lines by Suzanne Sommer out of Triskelion Olwen Fine.  She also crocheted about 25 squares.

Laura has finished a Declan Hat out of some handspun (one of the Hipstrings Unicorn colorways I think).  This was knit on size 8 needles.  It is around 15 inches around.  It should fit around a 1 year old.

Laura is spinning some Acadia from Hipstrings.  It is a blend of 75% Merino Wool, 12.5% flax and 12.5% Tussah Silk.  She has 8 oz to spin.

Leslie is re-reading the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews.  She has been listening to  Best Friends with Nicole Byer and Sasheer Zamata, Why Won’t You Date Me with Nicole Byer (amazing guests! Roxanne Gay, Bob the Drag Queen, etc), and MDWAP.

Laura has read Wayside School Beneath the Cloud of Doom.  She has also started Things You Can’t Say by Jenn Bishop.  Both are middle grade.

About Leslie

Leslie is obsessed with knitting, and when possible, perfection in her knitting. All stripey socks must match exactly and all lace must be blocked severely. She has major love for all of her viewers/readers and hopes to keep blogging and podcasting for years to come.
