Episode 428 – Line In The Sand

Leslie worked on Wrought Iron by Anna Johanna. She is on sleeve #1 (again).  She is also working on a Constellate  hat out of Madtosh TML in Bluebonnet Highway.

Laura is working in a pair of Wendyknits toe up socks out of desert vista Dyeworks in the Strawberry Shortcake colorway. They are knit on size 0s. She has cast on the Bulky Easy one by Joji out of Brooklyn Tweed Quarry.  She also cast on the Liesel scarf out of Malabrigo Worsted.

Leslie finished some weaving.  Towels are kit from Halcyon Yarn.

Leslie is re-listening to Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews and is on #9, Magic Binds.  She’s finished How To Be A Normal Person by TJ Klune and its’ sequel How To Be A Movie Star.

Episode 427 – Digging Holes

 

Leslie worked on Wrought Iron by Anna Johanna. She is on sleeve #1.  Did twisted rib hem as written, for collar used needle 3 sizes up for bind off.

 

Laura is working in a pair of Wendyknits toe up socks out of desert vista Dyeworks in the Strawberry Shortcake colorway. They are knit on size 0s. She has cast on the Bulky Easy one by Joji out of Brooklyn Tweed Quarry.

Laura finished the Hudson Shawl out of Berroco Alpaca Chunky and Knitpicks on size 10 needles. It used over 700 yards  

Up next on our needles: Fingerless Mitts out of Yarn Fairy and the Pixies colorway Purple Rust, and the Constellate hat out of Madtosh TML in Bluebonnet Highway.

Leslie is re-listening to Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews and is on #8, Magic Shifts.  She’s re-reading Master of Crows and will be re-reading How To Be A Normal Person by TJ Klune and its’ sequel How To Be A Movie Star.

Laura excited to start the Parker Inheritance on the flight to Madrona.

Episode 426 – Fortune Telling Rodents

 

Leslie worked on Wrought Iron by Anna Johanna. She is at 14.5” from under the arm and has to get to 18”.

Laura is working in a pair of Wendyknits toe up socks out of desert vista Dyeworks in the Strawberry Shortcake colorway. They are knit on size 0s. She has cast on the Hudson Shawl out of Berroco Alpaca Chunky and is knitting it on size 10 needles.  She swatched with her Quarry on size 8 needles.

Laura finished the bedknobs and broomsticks socks out of desert vista dyeworks on size 0 needles.

Laura spun 10 oz of Lornas Laces generic wool into 800 yards (there’s probably an oz left on the bobbin still to ply).

Episode 425 – Baby Alligator Day

Leslie worked on Wrought Iron by Anna Johanna.

Laura is working in a pair of Wendyknits toe up socks out of desert vista Dyeworks in the Bedknobs and Broomsticks colorway. They are knit on size 0s. She resumed knitting on her handspun evenstar. It is knit on size 3 needles using handspun out of Southern Cross Fibre.  

Laura woolen spun November’s batt club from KnitSpinFarm.  It is the Crab Apple Tree colorway. She got 215 yards of a 2-ply.  She also finished the merino from Apothefairy. It is 300 yards of a 2-ply spun worsted.

Leslie is re-listening to the entire Throne Of Glass series since the final book Kingdom Of Ash was released in October (currently on Empire of Storms, #5).  She is listening to Space Team by Barry Hutchison and read Tech Witch by MJ Scott.

Laura is listening to Magic Strikes (Kate Daniels book 3) by Illona Andrews.  She read the Magpie Lord series and some of the spin offs.
