I’m not gonna lie…it’s pretty much everything.<\/p>\n
However, my dear co-blogger Laura has run circles around me in blogging lately, so here I am.\u00a0 This is the same Laura who so deviously out-knit me in the Ply By Night<\/a> challenge by mere hours.\u00a0 I was SO CLOSE and if I hadn’t run out of yarn the night before I would have totally kicked her ass.\u00a0 *grumble grumble*\u00a0 Though I admit defeat, I enjoyed spinning the fiber from CJ Kopek Creations<\/a> that I joined her Put Your Twist On It<\/a> challenge for Nov\/Dec.\u00a0 I’m looking forward to trying to extend my yardage enough to maybe make a larger shawl or a pair of socks.<\/p>\n Speaking of spinning, I’ve been doing a fair amount of it lately.\u00a0 Since work blocks flickr, I’ll have to add photos later.\u00a0 I two plied the Ply By Night fiber – with 8oz and aiming for a bulky weight I ended up with 280ish yards.\u00a0 Not good enough.<\/p>\n Last night, I plied the Wicked Witch<\/a> fiber from Tempted Yarns<\/a> (and bought via The Loopy Ewe<\/a>, of course – gotta earn that next Loopy Credit!).\u00a0 I was going to try for enough to make socks, but decided against it since I know I’m not that good yet.\u00a0 Instead I two plied it and ended up with about 240 yards out of 4oz – which could very possibly be a personal best yardage wise!<\/p>\n As for what I’m knitting – not much.\u00a0 I finished the shawl for the Ply By Night challenge but haven’t photo’d it yet.\u00a0 Maybe this weekend.\u00a0 I started a pair of mitts for my loopy downstream partner but ripped it out when I didn’t like the color combo.\u00a0 I still need to figure out what to make her.<\/p>\n I also need to start on xmas knitting, but I just don’t have the mojo.\u00a0 I feel like people don’t appreciate handmade so I’m hesitant to put forth the effort on others.\u00a0 Enough whining.<\/p>\n Michael and I are throwing around ideas for a wedding next spring\/summer, but haven’t decided on anything yet.\u00a0 Jackie<\/a> of KIP’ing It Rea<\/a>l<\/a>fame has agreed to take some engagement-y shots of us since we have almost no pictures of us together.\u00a0 (and in searching for her homepage to link in this post, I realized I can listen to podcasts at work – YAYNESS!)<\/p>\n Anyway, more to come soon, I hope!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I’m not gonna lie…it’s pretty much everything.
