{"id":283,"date":"2010-01-29T17:41:45","date_gmt":"2010-01-29T22:41:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/theknitgirllls.com\/?p=283"},"modified":"2010-01-29T17:41:45","modified_gmt":"2010-01-29T22:41:45","slug":"last-and-first","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/theknitgirllls.com\/index.php\/2010\/01\/last-and-first\/","title":{"rendered":"Last and First"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been bad about blogging some of my FOs recently.\u00a0 My more recent projects have been 2 pairs of socks.\u00a0 I knit these as a present for my sister when I saw her at New Years.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Monster Socks\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2722\/4232986764_8f74e919b0.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Monster Socks\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4028\/4232214659_16ef8f787a.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/p>\n<p>These are my Monster Vesper Socks that I blogged about before.\u00a0 I love how the colors came together and Becky seemed very happy to get them.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s a scowly picture of her and my brother in law.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"beck and Matt\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2493\/4245930090_e592517cf1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The two of them have an awesome blog called Peanut Butter Bagels that you can find <a href=\"http:\/\/peanutbutterbagels.blogspot.com\/\">here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I also finished the racing sugarplum socks a while back. \u00a0They were my first pair of socks for 2010 and I&#8217;ve worn them several times since completing them.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Sugarplum socks\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4060\/4264039140_3d8182b3a6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Sugarplum socks 2\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4014\/4263279661_90ecc10104.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I love the sheen that the Vesper yarn seems to have with these. \u00a0I knit them on a size 1 circular (magic loop method) using <a href=\"http:\/\/wendyknits.net\/\">Wendy&#8217;<\/a>s gusset heel toe up pattern as found in her book, Socks from the Toe-up. \u00a0I&#8217;ve more than gotten my money&#8217;s worth out of the book and plan on making several more pairs of socks from it over the course of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/groups\/socks-from-the-toe-up-kal\">Ravelry Knitalong<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I have a few more projects to blog about but not a ton of knitting has gotten done recently.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been bad about blogging some of my FOs recently.\u00a0 My more recent projects have been 2 pairs of socks.\u00a0 I knit these as a present for my sister when I saw her at New Years.
