I had a very large list of things to accomplish during the Winter Olympics. First, I wanted to knit a February Lady sweater:<\/p>\n

Pattern: February Lady Sweater<\/a> modified by Flintknits from an EZ original<\/p>\n

Needles: Size 8 circulars. \u00a0My Knitpicks cord broke, luckily I was at Hanks and had the ability to buy some lace turbos to work with.<\/p>\n

Yarn: Tess Designer Yarn, Superwash Merino. \u00a0I bought 2 skeins of this several years ago at MSW and was glad that it got to be used. \u00a0The stash is happy for a wee bit of extra room, as well.<\/p>\n

Issues: I had serious button hole issues and Leslie was awesome and sewed them closed for me. \u00a0I’m not going to lie, they still kinda bother me, but not enough to rip out the sweater over.<\/p>\n

The second goal I was trying to accomplish is spinning a pound of fiber. \u00a0I got 5 ounces done:<\/p>\n

This is Lorna’s Laces in Icehouse. \u00a0I received the fiber in a swap a little bit ago and couldn’t wait to spin it up. \u00a0I spun it on mom’s Sonata so there was a definite learning curve. \u00a0Mom only had 2 free bobbins so \u00a0it’s Navajo-plyed and over twisted to all get out, but I think it will make some very cute baby somethings. \u00a0I got 150 yards out of it and it’s more a worsted than anything else. \u00a0Maybe a Milo vest?<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
