Pardon the dip in quality – Leslie didn’t pay attention to the viewfinder and there was quite a bit of the umbrella light in the screen, so I had to crop it which kind of killed the quality. My bad (and I learned something new)!<\/p>\n

Laura & Leslie are more than a bit scatterbrained in this one, but we do eventually share our WIPs, FO’s, review “The Big Book of Knitted Monsters” by Rebecca Danger, and talk about prizes for our one year podaversary.<\/p>\n

Laura<\/del> Leslie is knitting on some secret knitting and socks out of \u00a0Twisted Limone<\/a> for the afterthought heel tutorial.<\/p>\n

Laura is knitting on the second sleeve of \u00a0Washington Square<\/a> out of some New Zealand stash yarn.\u00a0 She has monkey arms and is increasing the body and sleeve length.\u00a0 She is also knitting some plain stockinette socks out of Mini Mochi (I refuse to link this yarn).\u00a0 She also got through chart B of the Ishbel shawl out of Casbah<\/a> .<\/p>\n

Lucy Neatby has an awesome finishing book called Cool Kniters Finish is Style<\/a> .\u00a0 We\u2019ll be doing a full review soon (Laura intends to use it to help her put the Washington Square together.<\/p>\n

Laura is finished with her \u00a0Herbivore<\/a> by Stephen West.\u00a0 It is out of Cherry Tree Hill<\/a> yarn and is made exactly to the pattern except for the 5 rows of garter stitch before the bind-off.\u00a0 She also finished the \u00a0Zauberball \u00a0Starke 6 <\/a> socks.\u00a0 There is a ton of yarn left over and these were knit on size 2.5 needles.<\/p>\n

Leslie is finished with Charlie the Ceiling Monster out of the book we reviewed this week, \u00a0 Big Book of Knitted Monsters<\/a> by Rebecca Danger<\/a> .<\/p>\n

Spinning:<\/p>\n

Laura is knitting a baby hat from Itty Bitty Hats<\/a> out of scraps of handspun. We talk about things you can knit out of the little scraps of left over bits from plying.<\/p>\n

Leslie\u2019s least favorite thing is sleepovers with lots of little boys.\u00a0 Both of us hate the loss of our knitting mojo.<\/p>\n
