We review Fiber Gathering and Laura recaps her trip to the Dickson Fiber Festival.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/blip.tv\/play\/h5A_gr7OVQA.html\" width=\"720\" height=\"510\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><embed type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" src=\"http:\/\/a.blip.tv\/api.swf#h5A_gr7OVQA\" style=\"display:none\"><\/embed>We start out with the drawing from last weeks contest.<\/p>\n<p>WIPs<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m working on a stripy sock out of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.etsy.com\/shop\/theamyleeshow?ref=pr_shop_more\">Amy Lee Show\u2019s Canon Hand Dyed Yarn <\/a>in the Arthur base in the \u201cWe are for the Night.\u201d I also started a<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/big-bulky-bucket-hat\"> handspun bucket hat <\/a>on size 11 (8.0 mm) out of the &#8220;Cheshire Cat&#8221; colorway of Dying Arts.<\/p>\n<p>Leslie is working on the S<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/senneh\">enneh socks<\/a> using the Silk Road Sock book. \u00a0She is using Hazel Knits in the Cherry Fizz colorway on 2.5 mm (1.5 US) needles. \u00a0Leslie also has\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/leadlight-2\">leadlight<\/a> on the needles.<\/p>\n<p>FOs<\/p>\n<p>Leslie has some socks out of Perfect Day Yarns<\/p>\n<p>Laura has finished a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/big-bulky-bucket-hat\">big bulky bucket hat<\/a>. \u00a0You can see the picture that Leslie is referring to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/27549317@N00\/5763546096\/in\/photostream\">here<\/a>. \u00a0I have no recollection what the fiber was but I did knit it on size 11 (8.0 mm) needles. \u00a0I&#8217;ve also finished the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/shetland-pi-shawl-kal\">Shetland Pi shawl<\/a>(size 5 US\/3.75mm needles)\u00a0by Wendy Johnson. \u00a0It is out of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.blackberry-ridge.com\/yarnprod.htm\">Blackberry Ridge Silk Blend Laceweight<\/a>. Yay!!!!<\/p>\n<p>Spinning (15:20)<\/p>\n<p>Laura is spinning Cuddy by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.twistedfiberart.com\/\">Twisted Fiber Arts <\/a>in Puffy.<\/p>\n<p>Leslie is spinning a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/kimberbaldwindesigns.com\/category\/MerinoSilkRoving.html\">Fiber Optic gradient BFl\/Silk blend<\/a> in \u201cBitter Lime Rose.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Book Review (18:00): <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/047028935X\/?tag=thek04e-20\">Fiber Gathering<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sew What?
