Moving Right Along

I’ve recently been sucked into the spinning craze (if I word it that way, it seems like it’s not my fault and therefore any expense incurred is against my will). I’ve been practicing sporadically over the past couple of months and as of last night I finally got to the point where I figured out how to keep the thickness even *Yay for pre-drafting*. So, view the splendor that is my last bobbin of “practice” roving:

Not perfect, but acceptable. Finally, I was ready to use something prettier and not feel like I’d be wasting it. I decided to start with 2oz of a 60/40 mix of Merino Wool/Bamboo, and fell in love the moment I started treadling. Happiness is a bamboo blend, I think.

I picked up this fiber from Capistrano Fiber Arts on Etsy. Love, love, love. I will definitely end up purchasing from them again.
