Episode 210 – Playful Pups

Laura is knitting on a pair of vanilla socks using Wendy Johnson’s toe-up gusset method. They are knit on size 1 (2.25mm) needles using Opal Little Prince yarn. She is also knitting on Jackaroo by Amy Herzog using size 6 needles and a Naturally Merino, a New Zealand merino/silk blend yarn. She started the Curiouser and Curiouser stole using size 3 needles and WM Lace in the Verhext and verratzt. She is almost done with clue 2 of the Kirstin Kapur Mystery shawl. She is using size 6 needles and WM pure in the Elfe colorway.

Leslie is knitting on the final sleeve of the Caulfield Cardigan by Amy Herzog. She is in limbo with the Wendy Mystery Shawl 2013 project.

Laura has finished her Alaskan Nancy socks in the Russian Rainbow colorway. They were knit on size 1 (2.25 mm) needles and used an afterthought heel with short rows. She has also finished the Gray Gardens Turban using size 6 needles and some handspun yarn.

Leslie has finished her Vivid Blanket knit out of Berocco Vintage DK. She has also finished the Little Liza Jane knit out of Elsebeth Lavold Hempathy.

Laura has spun a 2-ply out of Hello Yarn in the Hither colorway on Corridale. She has 174 yards. She also finished a 3-ply out of a Woolpierogi batt and some Ashland bay yarn. It is 2 oz and 128 yards. She spun some very textured Hobbledeehoy batlings and got 64 yards of a N-ply. Currently she has 2 oz of cormo on the Ladybug and 2oz of more batlings on the Sidekick. The Lendrum still has CVM fleece on it. She also finished washing 4 and a half pounds of Border Leister wool and will start picking it when she gets back from Chicago.
