Episode 296
Leslie is knitting a Nuvem out of Plucky Classics Silk Merino in Funny Affair at Tiffany’s. She’s also working on a plain pair of socks out of a Gale’s Art Sock Blank, and picked up her Recoleta out of Craftsy’s new yarn, Cloudborn in the Highland Worsted in Grey Heather.
Laura is knitting a pair of Hermione’s Everyday Socks out of Black Trillium Fibres Merilon Sock in Phantom. She has knit quite a bit on the Duane Park Triangle out of Knit Spin Farm batts she spun up (She also had to add 100 or so yards of hobbledehoy fibers battlings). She also knit on a pair of afterthought heel socks out of Nomadic Yarns Trusty Sock in “In Bloom.”
Laura has been spinning on a 2 oz batt she got for her birthday from G and E. It was from Woolenspinner (no longer in business). It ended up being 98 yards of an N ply. She has also spun 2oz of BFL from Hello Yarn in the bank the fire colorway. This is being spun on the sidekick.
Question from love2read, “I have wanted to make a 2 colorway shawl like the Pendulum with stashed yarns. But I hesitate to mix 2 same weight different brand yarns. Any insight, hints or things to watch for would be appreciated. Thanks”
