Episode 306 – Sloppy Skeins

Leslie is working on a newly cast on Fort Tryon out of Jill Draper Esopus.

Laura is knitting on a Wee Lima out of Another Crafty Girl Worsted in the “Hey, Can I Drive the Bus?” colorway.  She has also cast on Kallara by Ambah O’Brien.  It is being knit out of Plucky feet in the Sugar Coated colorway and Republic of Wool in the Wrinkle in Time colorway.

Leslie has finished the South Marysburgh Slippers out of Dragonfly Fibers in the Valkyrie base.  She also started and finished an Antarktis out of Crave Yarn Thoreau in the Stolen Seas colorway.

Laura has finished I Heart Rainbows sweater by Tin Can Knits.  She is using The Loopy Ewe Solid Series in Charcoal and a Loopy’s Paintbox Kit.  She has gone down to size 1.5 needles (2.5mm).  She has also finished a pair of Fish Lips Kiss heel socks out of Desert Vista Dyework in the DVD Logo colorway.

Laura has finished spinning and plying 8oz of Organic Merino from Southern Cross Fibres.  Her total finished yardage of the 2 ply is 1918 yards.  She has spun 1 bobbin of Three Waters Farm Corridale in the Homestead Purple colorway on the Lendrum Upright.  She has also spun a bobbin of Hello Yarn in the Shy Creature Colorway on Rambouillet on the Ladybug.  She also plyed some Hello Yarn Patchwork Kit fiber.  This was the first thing spun on the new Lendrum Saxony.

Book Review: Book of Haps by Kate Davies (20 pounds)

Leslie is listening gave up on The Cycle of Arwan.  She’s now listening to Fragile Things, written and read by Neil Gaiman.  She references her favorite short story, Other People.  She’s reading The Boys and the Bees.

Laura has been reading Christine Feehan’s two new books.  Shadow Rider is the first in a new series and Fire Bound (the 5th in the Sea Haven Sisters series)
