Episode 520 – Barbara Pooled

Leslie is working on a Granny Goes Large crochet blanket out of Stylecraft DK. She’s also cutting fabric for a Tami Revolution hoodie

 Laura has  been knitting on some toe up socks out of Nomadic Yarn Sport in Bad Guy.  She also resumed working on her McWheely cowl which is knit in the round.  She is also working on some Must Stash socks in Mordor Fun Run out of a cranked tube. She started the Chamomile hat out of Lux Adorna Knits DK. She is knitting it on size 4 and 5 needles.

Leslie finished nothing this week.

Laura finished the Twinkle Twinkle blanket by Helen Stewart.  She knit the fingering weight version on size 5 needles using handspun out of Nest Nestlets in Superwash.

Laura has been long drawing cashmere from Spotted Ewe on the Matchless.  It is in the Tea on the Thames colorway.  She has spun the singles of Into the Whirled Best Wishes, Warmest Regards on the Sparrow.  This is dyed on grey Shetland.  She started Hello Yarn Bitter Roots and Sweet Fruits on 70s Merino Wool Top.

Leslie plied 4oz of KnitSpinFarm Batt woolen spun and plied into 250yds. The sweater she talked about is Kelley’s “Oh Pickles!” version of Portage. Isn’t it GORGEOUS?!

Leslie is reading The Engineered Throne by Megan Derr (m/m fantasy) and listened to Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card.

Laura has finished listening to Ilona Andrew’s (adult m/f)  Sapphire Flames. She started Amari and the Night Brothers by B. B. Alston (middle grade fantasy).
