{"id":3108,"date":"2024-01-26T09:42:58","date_gmt":"2024-01-26T14:42:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theknitgirllls.com\/?p=3108"},"modified":"2024-01-26T09:43:00","modified_gmt":"2024-01-26T14:43:00","slug":"ep641-brighter-days","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theknitgirllls.com\/index.php\/2024\/01\/ep641-brighter-days\/","title":{"rendered":"Ep641 &#8211; Brighter Days"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"TheKnitGirllls Ep641 - Brighter Days\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Hi5xZUT_00s?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Leslie is working on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/directions-2\">Directions <\/a>top out of Oink Pigments DK weight linen\/silk this week but worked a bit on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westknits.com\/products\/painting-bricks-shawl\">Painting Bricks shawl by Stephen West<\/a> using a kit from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.etsy.com\/listing\/1222610837\/painting-bricks-shawl-kit-sandstone?click_key=97a60ea88de2039290e9faf61dc76a2e56637b98%3A1222610837&amp;click_sum=ca4dd5c7&amp;ref=shop_home_active_1&amp;sts=1\">Whimzee Stitches<\/a>.&nbsp; She\u2019s also working on a pair of socks out of Woolens &amp; Nosh in the&nbsp; Cornucopia colorway, and cast on for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/pressed-flowers-cardigan-2\">Pressed Flowers cardigan<\/a> by Amy Christoffers out of Berroco Remix Light and Noro Yukata and She started a temperature crochet blanket because she is not immune to peer pressure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Laura&nbsp; has also started a Stripy Unicorn sweater out of handspun (more about that below) and woolen sport from <a href=\"https:\/\/roundbarnfiber.square.site\">Round Barn Fiber Mill.<\/a> &nbsp; Laura is working on a pair of toe up socks (60 stitches on size 0s) out of Geektastic\u2019s Island of Misfit Toys colorway. Laura started some<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ericaandeleanor.co.uk\/post\/baby-mittens-by-priscillia-uloho\"> baby mittens<\/a> in the 0-6 month size in Old Rusted Chair IJLTYF colorway.&nbsp; These are knit on size 5 and size 2 dpns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leslie finished the Brighter Days hat by SweaterFreak out of <a href=\"https:\/\/republicaunicornia.com\/\">Republica Unicornia<\/a>. She also finished the weaving for an 11yd warp but is still working on the finishing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Laura finished an<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/elfbaby-hat.\"> elf baby ha<\/a>t out of handspun leftovers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leslie is still spinning the 24oz of custom blended fiber she got in a trade with HipStrings. She finished the first 8oz.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Laura finished spinning the&nbsp; finn (seething sea) from a hello Yarn. It is 300 yards of a high twist 2-ply. &nbsp; She is also spun falkland in the Herding Cats by Into the Whirled for Stripy Unicorn by Jojoi (1,000 yards of a 2-ply sport weight).&nbsp; She started a mash up spin using various Hello Yarn deep stash for Mystic square.&nbsp; This will be a three ply.&nbsp; She also started a woolen spun project out of a cormo\/bfl\/cheviot blend from Hill Heritage Farm.&nbsp; She has all the spinning plans for Jillian Moreno\u2019s 100 day spin down. She has been spindle&nbsp; spinning knit spin farms advent.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leslie is listening to Leveling Up by KF Breene.&nbsp; (m\/f urban fantasy romance)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Laura finished Fourth Wing.
