Episode 194 – Priorities, Yo

Episode 194

Laura is knitting on some plain afterthought heel socks out of Vesper Gemstone on size 1 (2.25) needles.  She is also knitting on Glitz at the Ritz by Helen Stewart using Made in America yarns Wayfarer and size 6 needles

Leslie is working on the Magic Cake Ruffle Shawl by Paula Emmons Fuessle on a size 6/4.00mm.

Leslie has finished her mish mash handspun Knitting Olympics project.  Basic pattern is ShellSeeker, color blending used follows the Less is More cardigan, and a split collar added on a whim and out of my brain.

Laura has finished 2 pairs of booties.  One is Tiny Shoes by Ysolda Teague.  She used Louet Gems yarn and size 2 needles.  The second is EviePants AIO Bootie Pattern out of Lornas Lace Worsted and on size 6 needles.

Laura has spun some Moonshine batts in the Frankenstein’s Monster (250 yards).  She has also started spinning for her Less is More.  All spins are superwash Merino.  The first 8 oz is Puppy Dog Tails by Southern Cross Fibre.

Episode 193 – Totally Gonna Work

Apologies if you’re a subscriber and you got this twice. I’m fiddling with the iTunes distribution.

Laura is knitting on some plain afterthought heel socks out of Vesper Gemstone on size 1 (2.25) needles. She is also knitting on 50 row shawlette by Susan Anderson.  She is knitting it out of Spunky Eclectic Corridale in the Rosebud colorway on size 10 needles.  She has also cast on Glitz at the Ritz by Helen Stewart using Made in America yarns Wayfarer and size 6 needles

Leslie has finished spinning all the fibers for the Knitting Olympics sweater she’s making.  The colors are “Don’t Blink” in BFL (color 1), “Godswood” in Polwarth (color 2), and “Take It To The Bridge” (color 3) in Superwash Merino, “Children of Time” in Superwash Merino (color 4), “Rhinebeck” in BFL (color 5), and “End of Innocence” in Superwash BFL (color 6.  All are Into the Whirled Fiber.

Episode 192 – The Big Game

Laura is knitting on some plain afterthought heel socks out of String Theory Colorworks Contuinium on size 1 (2.25) needles. She is also knitting on 50 row shawlette by Susan Anderson.  She is knitting it out of Spunky Eclectic Corridale in the Rosebud colorway on size 10 needles.

Leslie is working on her Caulfield Cardigan by Amy Herzog out of Quince and Co Sparrow.

Leslie has finished nothing this week.

Laura has not spun this week.

Leslie has spun 12 oz this week for the Less is More cardigan, which she is going to convert to a pullover.  She still has 12oz left to spin.  So far she has spun “Don’t Blink” in BFL, “Godswood” in Polwarth, and “Take It To The Bridge” in Superwash Merino, all are Into the Whirled Fiber.

Episode 191 – Surrogate Knitter

Leslie is farming out Viajante by Martina Behm out of handspun from LynnZimm.  She is working on her Caulfield Cardigan by Amy Herzog out of Quince and Co Sparrow.

Leslie has finished a pair ofplain socks in the Tulips & Vegetables colorway of Knitter’s Nightmare.  She also finished the plain stockinette socks from Twisted Limone in the Cranberry Juice colorway.

Laura has plied 406 yards of a 3-ply of ITW Superwash Merino.   She has pulled back out the Moonshine Frankenstein’s Monster balls to finish and some Dripping Fiber Studio to 4-ply for
