Ep655 – Ten Thousand Stitches

Leslie has worked on the R&R Hoodie by Tanis Lavelle out of Leading Men Fiber Arts in the following colors: Just Peachy, Fortune Teller, London Fog, Bare Necessities, and Marauder. She’s knitting the sleeves using a brilliant steeking method that Heidi Kirrmaier demonstrates here

She’s also cast on a Musselburgh hat by Ysolda Teague out of YarnCafe Creations in the Ocean Mist colorway and a pair of sport weight socks out of Another Crafty Girl in the Lightning Strike colorway.

  Laura is working on a pair of toe up socks (56 stitches on size 0s) out of Nomadic yarns in the everlasting gobstopper colorway.  She also cast on a Penta Pillar Pullover out of Knit Spin Farm batt handspun.  She has also started a recalibrate sweater out of handspun (merino/rose).  The fiber was from Southern Cross (no longer in business)

Leslie finished nothing this week.

Laura has plied 2 batts from KnitSpinfarm(550 yards). She has also plyed some merino from a oink pigments. And is trying to get a fleece washed, processed, spun, and knit this summer.  SUmmer of fleece!

Leslie is relistening to Fire & Ice by KF Breene (Fire & Ice series) and reading Ten Thousand Stitches by Olivia Atwater.

Laura has been relistening to the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs

Ep654 – Half A Soul

Laura has plied Knits and Purls in the Wednesday and Enid colorway (400 yards) and a batt from KnitSpinfarm. She is trying to get a fleece washed, processed, spun, and knit this summer.  SUmmer of fleece!

Leslie is listening to the Eclipsed Evolution series by Kim Harrison and re-reading Half A Soul by Olivia Atwater.

Ep653 – Unicorn Apocalypse

Leslie has cast on the R&R Hoodie by Tanis Lavelle. 

  Laura is working on a pair of toe up socks (60 stitches on size 0s) out of lollipop yarns. She has also started an emotional support chicken on size 3 needles out of Cascade yarns Hollywood.  She also cast on a Penta Pillar Pullover out of Knit Spin Farm batt handspun.

Leslie finished a pair of socks out of Must Stash Yarn in the Unicorn Apocalypse colorway and a pair of socks out of String Theory yarn

Laura  finished the knitting on her Floodlight tee.  She also finished  a mystic square out of a Hello Yarn spinning mashup using size 6 forte needles and a Mussleburgh hat out of Handspun from fiber from Into the Whirled in spring, sprang, spring on grey shetland. 

Laura has plied Into the Whirled Mithril on Rambo (340 yards of a 2-ply) and Neighborhood Fiber Co Polwarth (350 yards 2-ply).

Leslie is listening to Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon and reading The Raven & The Reindeer by T. Kingfisher

Leslie is working on a pair of socks out of Must Stash Yarn in the Unicorn Apocalypse colorway. She’s getting ready to cast on Separate Ways by Joji Locatelli  (rav link) using Leading Men Fiber Arts yarn.

  Laura is working on a pair of toe up socks (60 stitches on size 0s) out of lollipop yarns. She has also started a mystic square out of a Hello Yarn spinning mashup using size 6 forte needles. She has also cast on a Mussleburgh hat out of Handspun from fiber from Into the Whirled in spring, sprang, spring on grey shetland. Laura has also picked back up floodlight tee out of oink pigments. 

Leslie finished a pair of socks out of Knitterly Things Progress colorway from SSK 2024, a pair of socks out of Woolens & Nosh in the Stained Glass colorway for Kobe, a little box pouch using the pattern from Aneela Hoey, and her first embroidered patch using a pattern by Nosy Pepper Embroidery

Laura  finished  several handspun Musselburgh hats including one out of knits and pearls and one out of Into the Whirled merino/silk. 

Laura is spinning for a recalibrate sweater using Southern Cross Fibre in a merino/rose blend. This will be a 3-ply fingering weight yarn.
