Leslie is working on a pair of sport weight socks out of KnitSpinFarm’s Targhee Sport weight in National Parks colorway.  She cast on a Nyanen Tee by Cecily Glowik-Mcdonald out of Quince&Co Sparrow. She’s also working on a bit of sashiko.

 Laura has  been knitting on some toe up socks out of Knit Spin Farm in the World Plant a Vegetable Garden Day colorway.  Laura is also working on the Harvest sweater out of Camellia Fiber Company Pepper worsted. 

Leslie finished sewing a pair of Arenite Pants out of some rayon challis.  She also mended some socks.

Winter Parade batts from Knit Spin Farm (6oz, 415 yards) 2-ply woolen spun on the Matchless.

Unexpected Amaryllis batts from Knit Spin Farm (6oz, 400 yards)  2-ply woolen spun on the Matchless.

Mythical batt from Knit Spin Farm (3.25 oz, 215 yards)  2-ply woolen spun on the Matchless.

TDF 2015 International Wool of Mystery from Southern Cross Fibre (3.9 oz, 375 yards) Fractal 2-ply spun on the Sparrow.

Leslie didn’t spin this week, but spent lots of time prepping wool for washing.

Leslie is re-reading the Born In Fire by KF Breene.  She’s finished listening to The Lesson by Cadwell Turnbull (sci-fi fiction).  She’s been watching Would I Lie To You (british comedy panel series).

Laura is reading all the Pandora Pine books (adult m/m mystery).

Leslie finished a couple of hand-drafted Ostomy Bags and a Versa Cami from Stitch Upon A Time using power mesh for the built in bra.

Laura has spun the following yarns:

Mixed BFL from Nest Fiber Studio in the Something Wicked colorway (390 yards of a 2-ply from 4oz).  This was spun on the Starling v2.

Wound Up Fiber Arts SW merino and silk (80/20) in the Dandelion Dreams colorway (495 yards of a 2-ply).  This was spun on the Ladybug

Unicorn Battlings from Hobbledehoy yarn and fiber (180 yards of a 2-ply).  This was spun on the Ladybug.

Knit Spin Farm Honey Season (4/2020) This Cheviot, Corriedale, sparkle batt was spun woolen on the Matchless (200 yards, 2-ply).

Leslie didn’t spin this week

Leslie is re-reading the Dragon Kin series by GA Aiken (fantasy m/f romance).  She’s finished listening to Rabbits by Terry Miles (suspense/thriller) and Hail Mary by Andy Weir (sci-fi).  She’s alternating between The Lesson by Cadwell Turnbull (sci-fi fiction) and Devil in the Grove (Biographical about Thurgood Marshall) by GIlbert King.  She’s been watching Would I Lie To You (british comedy panel series).

Laura is reading all the Pandora Pine books (adult m/m mystery) and Rosaline Palmer Takes the Cake (great British Bakeoff type adult f/m romance).  She also read the Electric issue of Ply (and she’s in it)

Knit Spin Farm unknown batt club (3.2 oz, 215 yards 2-ply, spun woolen on the Matchless)

Knit Spin Farm May 2021 batt club in the Spring Violets Colorway (54% Corriedale, 30% Gotland, 16% Southdown, Sari Silk).  2.6 oz, 150 yards of a 2-ply spun woolen on the Matchless.

1,900 meters total plyed for Stash Dash this week.

She is currently spinning a 50% Polwarth, 25% Kid Mohair, 25% Mulberry silk top in the Strawflowers colorway from JulieSpins.
