Leslie is working on cranked tube socks in several colorways.  She’s also seaming squares for her Cherry Heart/Sandra Paul pattern called Giant Granny Patches.  She is also working a blanket using size 19 needles and Knitpicks Fable Fur.  She cast on a tube of 64 stitches on size 7 needles to use her Fully Spun Pride set in sport weight

Laura has resumed working on the Caron Chunky Cakes blanket (cast on 85 stitches on size 10.5 needles and knit until you run out of yarn).  Laura has also  been knitting on some toe up socks out of Knit Spin Farm Little Known Holiday Club “Tolkien.”  These are being knit on size 1 needles.  She also started a baby hat using fractal handspun on size 3 needles.

Leslie finished nothing this week

Laura finished a pair of Vanilla is the new black socks out of Fully Spun postscript fingering in the Mulled Wine colorway. She also finished Telegrams from the Window mittens out of Hipstrings Yarn from her birthday gift with purchase.  She also finished 2 gnomes using the Gno fun like Gnome fun pattern .  These were knit on size 3 needles.  She also finished a Punkin hat out of Malabrigo Rios and 2 baby hats using 64 stitches and size 5 needles.

Laura has been spinning all the advent calendar singles.

Leslie spun nothing this week

Leslie is re-reading the Dragon Kin series by GA Aiken.  She listened to Mount Fitz-Roy, a sci-fi follow up to Earthcore by Scott Siegler.

Laura has been listening to Ilona Andrew’s (adult m/f)  Wildfire. She is reading Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall.

Leslie finished a Fabled Forest hat out of Farm Girl Fibers in Strawberry Margarita colorway.  She also sewed a Reece Knit top from Style Arc out of jersey knit from Joann’s and Oceanside Pants from Blank Slate out of linen from Fabrics-Store.com.  She also sewed an ileostomy pouch after drafting a pattern

Laura finished an Angel Hat out of Fully Spun in the Postscript Aran colorway Untitled 56.  

Laura finished spinning the singles of  Hello Yarn on South American Wool in the Organic Matter colorway. She also plied the Loop bump and got 300 yards of a chain ply.

Leslie spun 4oz of Vice brand 19.5 micron merino in the “Hard Hearted Hannah” colorway (can’t find current link for this dyer) on the Daedalus Starling v1

Leslie reread The Blacksmith Queen by GA Aiken and read the sequel, The Princess Knight.  She’s relistening to Earthcore by Scott Sigler in prep for the new book Mount Fitz-Roy

Laura has been listening to Ilona Andrew’s (adult m/f)  Wildfire. She is reading the Fence graphic novel series.

Laura finished a Bankhead Hat out of Plucky Primo Worsted in the Soda Fountain colorway on size 6 needles. 

Laura finished spinning the singles of  a Loop Bump in Magic Trick.  She also plied singles from Nest in Superwash Merino in the By the Seashore colorway (400yards, 2-ply) and started Hello Yarn on South American Wool in the Organic Matter colorway. 

Leslie finished spinning & plying 8oz Warm Woolen Mittens II by HipStrings but hasn’t measured or washed it yet.

Leslie is reading Gods & Ends by Devon Monk (adult m/f fantasy) and the Leveling Up series by KF Breene.  She’s relistening the Tarot Sequence (adult m/m fantasy)

Laura has been listening to Ilona Andrew’s (adult m/f)  Wildfire. She read the Distress Signal (middle grade survival) by Mary E. Lambert.

Laura has started a Bankhead Hat out of Plucky Primo Worsted in the Soda Fountain colorway on size 6 needles.  She is knitting the adult medium size.  Laura has also  been knitting on some toe up socks out of Knit Spin Farm Little Known Holiday Club “Tolkien.”  These are being knit on size 1 needles.

Leslie finished a Celadon variation with Leading Men Fiber Arts and a Mad Hatter pack from Frabjous Fibers.  She also finished a Bankhead hat out of AnotherCraftyGirl’s Merino Worsted in a Pocket Sized World colorway, a Towards North hat out of SpottedCircus Silk Alpaca chain yarn in Acid Rain, and put heels/toes in a cranked tube.

Laura finished  tube socks out of Republic of Wool in the Peony Pop colorway.  She cast on 48 stitches and is knitting them on size 0 needles. She also knit a Gno Fun like Gnome Fun out of leftovers from Leading Men Fiber Arts on size 4 needles.  The last thing she finished is the Tchaikovsky Hat out of The Lemonade Shop Comfy Worsted in Zebra Tea Party on size 4 and 6 needles.  This past April she did some secret test knitting.  It is the Telegrams from the Window out of Fully Spun original DK in the Super green colorway.  She just added a dino tag from Shiny Wear Co

Laura started spinning a Loop Bump in Magic Trick.  She also spun singles from Nest in Superwash Merino in the By the Seashore colorway.  She finished then Jacob top from Nerd Girl Yarns in the “We’re All Mad Here” colorway (260 yards).  She also plyed the Spotted Ewe Starling (475 yards) and Morkmade Chai Latte (245 yards).

Leslie finished spinning & plying 8oz Warm Woolen Mittens II by HipStrings but hasn’t measured or washed it yet.
