Episode 521 – Failing at New Things

Leslie is working on a Granny Goes Large crochet blanket out of Stylecraft DK. She’s also sewing a Tami Revolution hoodie

 Laura has  been knitting on some toe up socks out of Nomadic Yarn Sport in Bad Guy.  She also resumed working on her McWheely cowl which is knit in the round.  She is also working on some Must Stash socks in Mordor Fun Run out of a cranked tube. She started the Puck hat by Dani Sunshine out of Lux Adorna Knits DK. She is knitting it on size 4 and 5 needles.

Leslie finished some terrible watercolor paintings this week from InspireaArt

Laura finished the Chamomile hat out of Lux Adorna Knits DK. She is knitting it on size 4 and 5 needles.

Laura has been long drawing cashmere from Spotted Ewe on the Matchless.  It is in the Tea on the Thames colorway.  She has spun the singles of Into the Whirled Best Wishes, Warmest Regards on the Sparrow.  This is dyed on grey Shetland.  She started Hello Yarn Bitter Roots and Sweet Fruits on 70s Merino Wool Top.  She also started spindle spinning on a new Jeri Brock manatee spindle.

Leslie did not spin this week

Leslie is reading the Legends of Abreia series (m/f fantasy) and listening to the Ender’s Game series by Orson Scott Card.

Laura is reading Amari and the Night Brothers by B. B. Alston (middle grade fantasy).  She read 3 picture books.  They were Eyes That Kiss in the Corners by Joanna Ho, We are the Water Protectors by Carole Lindstrom, and a Different Pond by Bao Phi.  All three were excellent.
