Episode 174 – Nailed It

 

Laura is knitting on a log cabin blanket out of various super wash wools. She has also
cast on a Drizzle hat on size 5 needles using Another Crafty Girl’s Simple DK in Lagoon.
Leslie is also knitting on a clapotis out of Wollmeise 100% fingering in the roter
himbeermund on size 6/4.00mm needles. She is also working on a Owls Sweater by Kate
Davies out of Madelinetosh Chunky in the Jasper colorway.
Laura has finished the clapotis by Kate Gilbert out of WM pure in the Raupe colorway. It
was knit on size 6 needles, with 14 repeats in the straight section.
Leslie has finished nothing
Laura has been drop spindling on her Turned on the Cut spindle. She is spinning some
Gourmet Stash Tribbles. She has also spun 2 one ounce batts from Moonwood Farm
(100 yards of a 2-ply). She has started some Finn from Misty Mountain Farm for
Expand Your Horizons.
Leslie has finished spinning a 3ply wool out of Merino/Nylon fiber from Storied Yarns.
She got 318 yards of DK weight yarn (before soaking).

Episode 173 – Know All The Things

Laura is knitting on the clapotis by Kate Gilbert out of WM pure in the Raupe colorway. It is being knit on size 6 needles. She has also started a pair of Retro Thrum slippers out of some Ella Rae classic solid (2 skeins) and some icelandic wool for the thrums. She has swatched for the Crows Nest Cardigan by Amy Christoffers out of some Quince and Company Lark on size 7 needles.

Leslie is also knitting on a clapotis out of Wollmeise 100% fingering in the roter himbeermund on size 6/4.00mm needles. She is also working on a Bedrock Hat from Brooks Farm Solana, and continues to work on the Viajante by Martina Behm out of handspun from Lynnzimm.

Laura has finished a Sugar Maple hat out of some Handspun Hello Yarn in the Overfond colorway. There will be enough for 2 kid sized hats. Needles used were sizes 5 and 6.

Leslie has finished a Windschief by Stephen West out of Brooks Farm Solana for the KnitmoreGirls team collection of hats for Halos of Hope at Stitches East. She has also finished the Noro shawl (based on the Josephine pattern). Lastly there is a Pioneer Cuff from Laura Nelkin.

Laura has been drop spindling on her Turned on the Cut spindle. She is spinning some Gourmet Stash Tribbles.

Leslie has finished spinning the single for the Hobbledehoy Beach art batt for Mel of SingleHandedKnits fundraiser.

Laura has started her Camp Loopy 3 project which is Line Break.  She is knitting it out of Skein Top Draw in the Puddle colorway on size 6 needles.

Leslie is working on a Viajante by Martina Behm out of handspun from Lynnzimm.  She is also working on a Josephine Shawl out of Noro Taiyo, and has resumed working on her Caulfield Cardigan out of Quince and Company Sparrow.

Laura has  finished nothing

Leslie has finished Hermione’s Every Day socks out of Gynx Yarns in the Spirited Away #1 colorway. She has also cast on and finished a Willow Cowl out of Gales Art 50/50 merino silk in the Emerald Hummingbird colorway on size 5 needles.

Laura has spindle spun Gourmet Stash Tribbles on her Turned on the Cut Spindle.  She has also spun 1 ounce of Gale’s Art Alpaca/Silk blend for a friend.

Leslie has started spinning an Art Batt from Hobbledehoy in the Beach colorway for Mel’s fundraiser to support Rob Hilton represent the Marines and MARSOC in the Ironman World Championship.
