Laura is knitting a pair of plain socks using the Wendy Johnson toe-up heel with gusset method out of Vesper in the, “In the Wildwood” colorway.
Leslie is knitting some Single Malt Woolmeise 100% for the Make a Wish socks. She is using the pattern, Bavarian Cables, by Wendy Johnson. She is using size 1 needles.
Leslie has finished Savina out of Handspun on size 8 (5mm) needles
Laura has finished her a mitered crosses blanket out of Silk Garden and Cascade 220 on size 6 needles. Laura has also finished Alice’s stocking using the Holly Berry Stocking pattern out of Vanna’s Choice and Woolease on size 6 needles.
Leslie has spun batts from Spinning Straw into Gold.
Laura has spun an awesome Loop batt from her first shipment of the club.

My favorite Gale’s Art colorway is lost to the ages. I was so excited to start spinning it up that I tore off the braid-band, threw it away, and started spinning without logging any of the info anywhere. However I can tell you it’s a mix of gorgeous jewel tones! Purple, blue, green, and gold over black bfl.

Another great show, ladies! Please take time to rest and relax while you have time off! Looking at these fibers, I’m feeling the Citrus Splash (galesart), Not Drinking Merlot (KnittyAndColor), and Mood Ring (FiberCharmer). Really gorgeous colors, love them.
My absolute favourite colourway from the three dyers in the TriDye group is Aspen from Knitty and Color. How gorgeous! I’ve never knit with any yarn with sparklies, and it really caught my eye.

I really like the “Beach Glass” colorway from Fiber Charmer.
Oh my gosh! So many beautiful colors from each dyer. I’m partial to soft blues and greens, so Beach Glass from Fiber Charmer and Deep Blue Sea from Gale’s Art could make me very happy. It’s so easy to love those blues. I can imagine either one in a flowing lace shawl.
But then there’s Party Beans! from Knitty and Color — and honestly I can’t imagine what I’d make with it, how it would look when I spun it, or how I’d ever find the courage to wear it — but I love it anyway. And I want to take it home. I know it’s probably not good for me, but I want it anyway…like candy and chocolate or going to a party and staying out late. Oh Party Beans! I know you’re not good for me, but you’re the one!

Three comments….
1. I absolutely love the blanket Laura made me for Christmas. It is beautiful and so warm! It will hold a place of honor in our new trailer and be used as a lap blanket as I relax in my recliner. Middle age people use lap blankets too, really!
2. So many thanks to Leslie for getting up after 5 hours sleep to take us to the airport. She is even nicer than she seems on the podcast.
3. I do trust Leslie with our cat, SeniorHumberto El Gatto Meow, and with our house. She keeps an eye on everything as we travel. Why don’t I trust her with my mail? Upon advice of my attorneys, I cannot comment.

Well the only color I’ve had from any three dyers is the Haunted Vineyard colorway which I do love, it has my favorite colors of purple and green.
I love all of their colors! But I love the Black, Turquoise & Silver from Knitty and Color!! SO BEAUTIFUL!

I love Fiber Charmer’s Aqua… I seem to be in a blue period lately!
I love Velvet Elvis by Galesart! I love the name too! When I looked at Knitty & Color’s store my favourite there was ‘Meet Me in Montauk’ which has very similar colours to Velvet Elvis, but the great name won out.
I’ve only ever tried Gale’s Art. Loved the colorway Candy with Strangers. It was the first and only Polwarth I’d ever seen, so I bought two 4 oz. braids. Enjoy your Christmas holidays ladies. Get some rest and we’ll see you next year.

I went to all three sites- LOVE THESE COLORS! It was a really hard decision- finally I found a way to choose- Knitty and Color has a gorgeous colorway called Not Knitting Merlot. Merlot is my favorite wine- it was the only way I could make a decision!

Although I only dabble with spinning I adore fibers. My granddaughter and I have bounced back and forth between the three shops and after spending much money have decided on “Ultralight AT Night” from Knitty and Color. We both love black with bursts of color. Laura, Leslie and everbody have a wonderful and safe Christmas.
The yarn by Fiber Charmer in the Mayfair Mosiac was my favorite. All the dyers have beautiful work.
They are all beautiful…but my favorite is Mayfair Mosaic Painted Blue Nirvana.
By the way…give yourself some breathing room as far as getting Christmas gifts out. The first day of Christmas starts on Christmas Day and the 12th day is January 6 (Epiphany). So you have twelve days to give those gifts–and who doesn’t like getting gifts all through a week? Merry Christmas-Happy Holy Day!

KnittyandColor is by far one of my favorite dyers right now. I had the insane good fortune to get to go to SAFF this year, and I met her there. I also saw her beautiful fibers for the first time ever. I bought 1 braid of a blue, grey, black that is on the shelf for “special” spinning. I also loved her batts like mad. I honestly haven’t seen a colorway that she’s done that I didn’t love.
I love her jelly beans colorway esp. this winter because it is CRAZY bright. I’ll bet it could even beat off the Feb. Funk that strikes folks in snow country.

Even though some of the colors in the Indian Corn colorway by Gale’s Art arent what I would normally choose, I am very drawn to this colorway. I think it’s because of the way the colors work so well together. This is the first time I’ve seen any of these three dyers and I really like thier work. Any color would be fine. I don’t like brown or orange except for fall knitting.
