Ep106 – Where We Talk Forever

We forgot to pull for the TriDye club – we will do that first thing next week!!

Laura is knitting on an Offset Wraplan out of Tempted Handspun on size 4 needles.  She has also cast on a pair of afterthought heel socks out of lollipop yarn on size 1.5 needles.  There will soon be new design out of Unwind Yarn Company 

Leslie has started the Pomme de pin Cardigan by Amy Christophers out of Berroco Vintage dk.  She is knitting it on size 6 and 7 needles.  She also has  a pair on Georgia on my Mind socks (pattern coming soon) out of Barking Dogs Yarns in her Opposites Attract base.  The colorway is Antony and Cleopatra.

Laura has finished the Lost Banner Hat by Susan B. Anderson on size 7 needles and using Twisted Fiber Arts handspun.  She also was playing with some new needles and made a washcloth on size 9s using Lion Brand Kitchen Cotton.

Leslie has finished a super secret project.

Laura has gotten 500 yards from the Miss Babs merino/silk fiber in the Fall pansy colorway. She also finished the Unwind Yarn Company fiber in the Morning Sky colorway. on the BFL base (372 yards).  Black Bunny fiber on the Masham base is currently on the Lendrum.

Leslie has finished her Black Bunny Masham (106 yards) and has begun Corgie Hill Farms in the Camel/Merino/Silk blend.

    Another great show !!! bI thank you so much Leslie for talking about the drop spindle what i will be geting is a top drop so its spun different I guess. Well Thanks again will look for the tutorial from you soon I hope. A teaching of the fibers for new spinners hmm theres something. Well girlll you have the greates time in Hotlanta. Love the color socks you are working on Laura. Leslie when you said thje contest thread is what or who inspires us that a good food for thought since there are so many different way to be inspired. For a knitter who doesn’t have a LYS or knitting group with real peeps you ladies OVER compensate for that! Its like a tutorial, inspiration and the comedy club all rolled in to one!   4. Love each one of your shows ladies and I look forward to it each week. I am in Georgia and wanted to be able to go to Stitches South this year but I just am not going to be able to make it. Have fun and enjoy!! I look forward to hearing all about it next week from you ladies!

    I would love to learn to spin and I have been checking out Deerfield Creations for one of the tibetan spindles. I do hope you are able to do a tutorial Leslie. I enjoyed your tutorial of spinning on the Trindle from Trindleman Laura and you made it look so easy! I just may have to order one of each and give spinning a try! Yep…that’s all I need is another fiber and fiber craft addiction! LOL!
