Leslie is working on the Directions top out of Oink Pigments DK weight linen/silk this week but worked a bit on the Painting Bricks shawl by Stephen West using a kit from Whimzee Stitches. She’s also working on a pair of socks out of Woolens & Nosh in the Cornucopia colorway, and cast on some Tinsel Mitts by Andrea Mowry out of Urban Girl Yarns DK in the Michelle Obama colorway.
Laura has been working on all the handspun socks using Hipstrings 50% Southdown wool, 25% Dorset Horn Wool, 25% Bionylon. She is plotting her frog and node sweater. She has also started a pair of socks for her bil using my bumblebee acres corridale sock.
Leslie finished some little notions kits using the Binding pattern by Hunter Hammersen (available to Patrons)
Laura finished the 2022 woolens and nosh advent socks. These socks were knit on size 0 needles with the garter short row heel from confident knitting.
Leslie is still spinning the 24oz of custom blended fiber she got in a trade with HipStrings.
Laura is spinning some finn (seething sea) and a mystery fiber from Hello Yarn. She 3-plied some Texel from into the Whirled (220 yards) and some wee chickadee (400 yards). She has all the spinning plans for Jillian Moreno’s 100 day spin down. She has been spindle spinning knit spin farms advent.
Leslie is listening to Discworld, starting with book 1 The Colour of Magic by Terry Pratchett. She’s also listening to Kaiju Preservation Society by John Scalzi. She read Legends & Lattes this week
Laura is listening to Hunt the Stars (sci fi adult)
