Blocking question–Laura, how do you typically block a hat like the green Wooly Wormhead one? I was surprised when you said you needed to block it, because I knit a bunch of “in the round” baby hats and it never occurred to me to block that sort of hat. What’s your technique?
Also, should mention I knit on the Featherweight cardi while watching this. I’m just saying.
We don’t even have an open house. I am the same with the flying saucer, interested but not loving any colors. Whoops toddlers weren’t supposed to wear scarves? *snort* I am the same way with the phone 😉
ah shit, I forgot Eureka came back! Blarg, I’m behind!
Jessica, I tend to block hats by wet blocking them over a head, plate, or balloon depending on the shape I am going for.
Over a head???? You mean, a head mannequin? Or a real head?
I have a glass head I got from Pier One a few years ago.
Great show! I’m also subdued from working nights but appreciate the “virtual”friendship. I may start a knitting group for charity. We have a nice meeting room at my church. And Eureka is filmed in my town! I haven’t even seen it, but I like Firefly, so I’ll try to hunt it down. Thanks for keeping me company while I knit.
Happy Birthday, Leslie!
