New project on the needles

I, in my infinite wisdom, decided I was going to knit Pomatomus by Cookie A.  Apparently I forgot that I don’t like lacy type socks, and reading charts sucks balls.  However, I finally got through a repeat on the cuff last night thanks to Jim Dahl’s narration of HP and the Deathly Hallows.  I love me some Harry Potter.  Anyway – here is the progress so far:

It’s looking Ok, I think – but if the pattern doesn’t start coming to me a little easier, I might just frog it and do something else.

Like SPIN!

I’ve been spinning up a 70/30 merino/Seacell blend I got from The Loopy Ewe about a month ago.  I’m in love – it spins so easily and plies even more beautifully.  Take a gander!

Other than that, not much is going on.  Kobe and I played Mario Party 8 for like, 6 hours on Saturday night.  Laura joined us for a while too and much confusion and chaos ensued.

House hunting continues, with no real possibilities (that we can afford) on the horizon.  We’re headed off to look at some more tonight, so maybe we’ll have some good news, well, eventually?
