Purple

I’m in the process of knitting several purple projects this weekend (I heart alliteration).  The first is a lovely top down bonnet that I finished for the soon to be born Sydney:

I used some old Knitpicks Shine Sport in the Crocus colorway out of the stash.  1 skein down 99 more to go…  The pattern is Top Down Bonnet with an Anime Character.  It’s a very nice pattern and I knit the bonnet using 2 size 3 circular needles in less than 3 hours.

I also have been working on my socks for the September KAL of Wendy Knit’s book on Ravelry.  I’m knitting Wendy’s Fan and Feather socks and am ready to turn the heel on the second sock.  I am hoping to finish them tomorrow sometime.

The yarn is some Cherry Tree Hill I got at Hanks a few weeks ago.  I’m enjoying the pattern and the yarn, so these are going fast.

Last but not least is a new shawl.

It’s not real far into the process right now.  I’m using it as simple football knitting. The pattern is Silk Kerchief , but I’m using Noro Kureyon Sock instead of the Silk Garden Sock in order to use up stash.  I’m a little worried about these colors, but I have faith that they will be fine.  Right now, I’m around 20 pattern repeats in and intend to go until I run out of yarn.
