(Neither have been touched this week) She is also working on a Bridgewater out of Madelinetosh lace in the Silver Fox colorway.

Laura finished the Mustard Scarf by Jane Richmond.  She knit it out of a Loop bump of handspun on size 19 needles.  She modified to to be worked over 14 stitches.

Leslie finished her design for Infinite Twist out of Halo Heather in the dragon colorway.

Laura finished her Southern Cross Fibre in the Funhouse colorway.  It is 400 yards of a 2-ply Falkland.  She has been “plying on the fly” using her Tiny Turkish spindle from Subterranean Woodworks (purple dyed curly Maple with a Maple shaft; 15g) and Foster Farm Romney/Mohair blend.  She has also spun the singles of her Tom Baker gradient braid from Moonrover Yarns.  It was a seconds Polwarth and was spun on her Mini-Spinner.

Leslie spun a 3ply yarn, worsted/bulky out of Woolgatherings 70% oatmeal BFL and 30% silk, 160 yds for mittens.

Question from Hungryforyarn, “Hi Leslie Hi Laura I want to try and drop spindle again give it a whirl again so my question is what fiber should I purchase and how much? It’s a top drop spindle nothing fancy nothing special about it but I really want to try this again and feel if I had the right fiber I would possibly be able to spindle without the frustrations.”

About Leslie

Leslie is obsessed with knitting, and when possible, perfection in her knitting. All stripey socks must match exactly and all lace must be blocked severely. She has major love for all of her viewers/readers and hopes to keep blogging and podcasting for years to come.
